Here in the WBBA we are not afraid to celebrate the game of basketball and our pride in the WBL community.

Each season brings a new year and another chance for our WBBA family to grow. The mark of the new season we open with the Tip-Off Event and close with our Final Buzzer Celebration.

At the beginning of each season, the WBBA spends one night coming together to celebration to start of another great time of year...the new basketball season.

What better way to do this than bring our WBBA families to one place for the evening with the Annual WBBA Tip-Off Event!

Each year's activities may vary but the underlining theme remains the same....with a shared love of basketball and pride in our community, the WBBA proudly celebrates its players and families like their own.

Previous years have brought activities from all different walks such as the Alexandria Aces, the WBL Varsity Cheerleaders, Dance Team and much more.

In 2010 we started off our season with a bang. Dinner provided by our dear friends at Donatelli's our WBBA universe had a wonderful meal and then off to participate in raffles, relays with the Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball Teams, a dunk contest, information on the season from Directors and the introduction of our Youth Teams.

We look forward now to the 2011-2012 season and of course, you can be sure, the Tip-Off Event cannot be too far off...

This year we can safely announce that the 2011 Tip-Off Event will be on Sunday, October 30 at South Campus! More details to follow in the coming weeks!!

Final Buzzer. A bittersweet celebration of the season's end.

To bring the past season to a close and give our players a night to honor the work they have put in and show them how much we appreciate the dedication they have shown to their team, coaches, the WBBA and themselves.

Players are awarded three honors from their coaches, the "No Guts No Glory", "Achieving the Dream", and "Follow the Leader" to 3 players from each team.

New this last year was the very first Coaches vs Coaches game!! Our boys and girls coaches fought a hard game for thei rplayers and back by popular demand, the Final Buzzer 2012 will prove to be a nail biter just the same!

At the end of our celebration to top off with a WBBA ice cream social for everyone.
